It appears that the standard offer this time around is for up to a 55% bonus, making it the best promotion of the year from the program. It seems the standard offer is for a 55% bonus, and that you need to buy only 2,000 points in one transaction (pre-bonus) to trigger that deal. That’s among the biggest percentage bonuses we’ve seen from the program, plus among the lowest minimums required to unlock that bonus.

Ordinarily you can buy Bonvoy points for 1.25 cents each, before any discounts or bonuses. If you were eligible for a 55% bonus, you could buy a total of 310,000 Bonvoy points (including 110,000 bonus points) for $2,500, which is a rate of 0.81 cents per point.

If you’re eligible for the 55% bonus, that’s just about as good as offers on purchased Bonvoy points get nowadays, as we haven’t seen a lower cost per point in a long time. Admittedly points have also lost a bit of value over the years.

Marriott Bonvoy ordinarily lets members buy up to 150,000 points per calendar year, before any bonuses. However, during this promotion, that cap has been increased to 200,000 points, pre-bonus.
